I don't know what baffles me more - how they thought this was ok for kids, or how I, a dinosaur obsessed kid in the 1980s, never heard about it back then!

😭😭😭 I am thinking of my beloved broodmate 😭😭😭 I am thinking of my beloved broodmates in the Clarion class of 2012 - how tf has it been 12 years already??!? - I miss these folks, and the magic we made, not just as artists but as people, every day of my life. πŸ₯ΉπŸ₯ΉπŸ₯Ή I am thinking of my beloved students in the Clarion class of 2024, who are entering the final third of their own magical journey, and will soon contend with the grief of returning to the real world - and who will transmute that pain into transformed lives and reinvigorated art the same way we did.

I was sad to miss StokerCon! The pictures of so ma I was sad to miss StokerCon! The pictures of so many magnificent horror monsters gave me major FOMO, but I was in beautiful Argentina and that more than made up for it. Next year, hopefully! And while I didn't win the Bram Stoker Award, that bit doesn't sadden me too much - the nomination was such a huge honor from my horror peers, and I'm super happy for that whole awesome slate of winners! THANK YOU @thehorrorwritersassociation !!!!
